Why did Rachel leave US traitors?
RELATED: ‘The Traitors’ Host Alan Cumming Gives His Most Devious Advice For Season 1 Competitors – Rachel spent her time in the hot seat lashing out at her fellow Faithful, calling them “idiots” for thinking about getting rid of her after her arch-rival, Kate Chastain, accused her of treachery.
In the end, she made it clear on her way out the door that she did indeed take the betrayal personally and blamed everyone who voted for her for conspiring against her. The moment was harsh and difficult to watch (not to mention made for great reality TV), but for Cirie, it was brutal to sit through.
“I really like Rachel, I care about Rachel, seeing people you care about being accused and having it be so dramatic, especially in the way Rachel went out, it was everything I could do not to say, ‘I’m so sorry Rachel! I’m a Traitor!'” Cirie explained.
I felt that way with Rachel, I felt that way with Shelbe, I don’t know, certain ones hit really hard for me.” Cirie previously told USA Insider that she simply moved in the direction of the house when it came time to figure out who to banish, even if that meant eliminating her fellow Traitors. However, when her friend’s metaphorical head was on the chopping block, she couldn’t hide in the shadows.
When the tide started to turn, Rachel reached out to her friend, hoping for a lifeline that she was unable to give. In the end, Cirie voted to eliminate Rachel, getting her one step closer to the prize money but doing what seemed like irreparable damage to their relationship.
Although Rachel seemed furious with everyone and especially hurt by Cirie when she was voted out, once the cameras stopped rolling, Cirie says her better judgment and gameplay manners prevailed. “Rachel and I have talked and she understands,” Cirie revealed. “Rachel is a gamer, so that is the advantage I have with Rachel.
She understands this is a game to be won and if she were in my position, she would have done the same thing.” Although Rachel and Cirie have apparently patched things up, that’s not to say that she’s cool with everyone. “Bachelor” star Arie Luyendyk and Christian De La Torre were also active Traitors at the time who contributed to Rachel’s exit.
Not to mention she never exactly patched things up with Chastain after their not-so-subtle barbs back and forth with each other throughout the entire show. Fans will have to wait until “The Traitors” Season 1 reunion special to find out where she stands with all of them. Catch up on “The Traitors” Season 1 on Peacock right now.

When did Amanda leave traitors?
Those who’ve been missing Claudia Winkleman’s antics on The Traitors have undoubtedly been binging through its US counterpart, hosted by Alan Cumming and featuring a mix of celebrity and civilian contestants. While The Traitors US features a bigger cash prize and different cast, it has just as much drama as its British cousin – particularly when it comes to the exit of emergency room nurse Amanda Clark.
Fans have taken to Twitter to ask why the contestant, who made it all the way to episode 5, suddenly vanished from The Traitors US cast despite performing very well on the show. One fan wrote: “Why did Amanda have to leave?” while another said that it took them a while to notice that Amanda wasn’t in the episode they were watching.
Alan Cumming explained briefly that Amanda left the competition “for reasons beyond her control” – however, the show never officially revealed why she had to quit. - In episode 5 of The Traitors US, host Alan Cumming announced that Amanda Clark had been forced to leave the competition.
- The Faithful have been dealt another blow,” he said.
- Amanda has had to leave the castle for reasons beyond her control, but the game must go on.” The show did not go on to explain why Amanda left and neither has Amanda – however, the emergency room nurse did recently say that she’ll be revealing more in due course.
Replying to a comment on one of her Instagram posts asking why she left the competition, Amanda said: “I’ll share the reasons soon.” Meanwhile, Amanda also said in a reply to a fan’s question that she believed she could have been in the top four, adding: “I promise I’ll share details soon.” Earlier this week, the nurse wrote in an Instagram story that she would be explaining her exit over the next few days, writing: “I’m posting a video this week with all the details.
BUT let it be known I’ve never quit anything in my life except karate in 6th grade because I saw someone break their leg at practice.” We may not know exactly why Amanda was eliminated from the competition yet but watch this space – we’ll update this page as and when we have an answer. The Traitors US is available to stream as a boxset on BBC iPlayer and will air on Wednesday nights at 10:30pm from 25th January.

Have The Traitors stayed friends?
The Traitors star says game show has given her identity back
- The new game show reached its shocking conclusion on Thursday (22 December).
- The programme, hosted by, saw 22 strangers play “the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust” at a Scottish Highlands castle in the hope of winning up to £120,000.
- Among the contestants was Amanda Lovett, a 54-year-old estate agent mother of five who told PA news agency that the TV show gave her the chance to “have my own identity”.
- Lovett was picked in the opening episode as one of three “traitors” tasked with selecting each night which of the “faithful” participants must leave the show, while trying to stay above suspicion themselves.
- After being banished from the game in Tuesday (20 December) night’s episode, Lovett told PA : “I’ve been with children and things since I was 19, and then married and working and it was lovely to have my own identity.
- “And for people to look at me when I said I was a traitor and go “oh my god”, it can really be a 50-plus woman who can play this role.”
- Lovett took on a motherly role to many of her fellow contestants, revealing she decided to go for the “mother them and murder them” approach in an attempt to win the game.
- She told PA : “We all think of mums as just ‘they’ve been there, done that, they’ve settled down and have got nothing else to give life’.
- “But I think when you go over 50 and your children start growing up, that’s the time to embrace life.
“Use all your experiences through life and the confidence you’ve gained and put that and generate that into the direction you want to go.” Access unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows with Amazon Prime Video Sign up now for a 30-day free trial Access unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows with Amazon Prime Video Sign up now for a 30-day free trial Despite being unveiled as one of the deceitful traitors chosen by Winkleman at the beginning of the series, Lovett revealed she has remained close to her fellow contestants and is planning a holiday with eliminated “faithful” Theo Mayne next year.
- Reflecting on grappling with her conscience as a traitor, Lovett added: “That was the thing, I was so upset that I was upsetting them, so I think you can see me fading a bit towards the end.”

What is Amanda’s full name in The Traitors?
Traitors’ Amanda spills all on hidden WhatsApp group & ‘doll’ Claudia Winkleman Exclusive: The Traitors star Amanda Lovett reveals details of the cast WhatsApp group chat, how brilliant it was to work with Claudia Winkleman, and the importance of women in their fifties being on screen The Traitors winners reveal filming secrets Upon first signing up for The Traitors, the now legendary Amanda Lovett jokes she’d just been hoping for some ‘free breakfast, free food, and for a bit of peace from the kids’.
- She could never have imagined the ‘immense’ public reaction to the show, which launched the Swansea-based estate agent as a household name and fashion icon.
- Amanda, 55, looked striking in scarlet while attending the recent inaugural in Manchester, a star-studded event held to celebrate extraordinary accomplishments of those in the community.
Speaking with the Mirror on the red carpet, Amanda appeared to be in her element as she opened up about her journey with, the cast members’ group, and becoming a fan favourite as a proudly confident 50-plus woman. Amanda recently appeared on the red carpet at the inaugural Gaydio awards ( Aaron Parfitt / SplashNews.com) Her family initially had their doubts about her appearing on the show ( Ken McKay/ITV/REX/Shutterstock) Amanda admits that her family did have their doubts about her application at first, and would repeatedly ask her ‘are you sure mum?’.
At the time of filming, she was 54, navigating an era when reality shows are more often associated with twentysomethings just starting out in life. For Amanda however, the wisdom and experience that comes with age is a superpower, not a hindrance, and she’d love to see more 50 plus women on TV going forward.
She said: “I just felt, as a 50 plus woman, why not? Why not go in there? It just goes to show that 50 plus women do go under the radar. Your mums, your work colleagues, Everybody’s packaged up in little boxes. “Although we’ve made our nest, we’ve made our careers, we’re where we are, b***** hell, at that point we’ve got so much more to give because we’re more confident than we’ve ever been in life!” Amanda is a champion of women of 50 and declares they have ‘so much more to give’ ( BBC screengrab) Emphasising her fierce support for women in her age group, she continued: “How many plus 50s do we work with? Would you ever think of going to them and asking their advice? And we’re the ones that have got all the life skills! We’ve got all the experience.
“But everyone thinks, ‘they haven’t got much to say, let’s put them in a box, let’s put them under the table, you know? Go 50 plus women! We might be menopausal but we have more life skills to give than anyone.” The self-professed ‘Glam-ma’ says she can’t believe how the show has ‘blown up’, with a family-friendly, cross-generational appeal Amanda notes is often all too rare nowadays.
Amanda says there’s ‘no ill feeling’ between the former castmates ( Ken McKay/ITV/REX/Shutterstock) Despite all the onscreen backstabbing however, Amanda insists there’s ‘no ill feeling’ between the former castmates, many of whom stay in touch via a big WhatsApp group.
Amanda revealed: “There is a WhatsApp group but with 22 people in it, it can be hard to keep up. We’ve all got busy lives so we can’t all be always involved in the WhatsApp group. “I would say that there’s a section of us that are very close, but there’s no ill feeling between any of us at all because it’s a game that we played and because everyone played it to their true game plan.” Of course, the show wouldn’t have been what it was without presenter whose genuine enthusiasm for the show shone through at every nailbiting twist and turn.
Praising the host as ‘a beautiful soul’, Amanda said: “She’s such a doll. She’s very attractive on TV, but she’s so beautiful inside and out. There’s one instance where we weren’t allowed to leave the round table, and Andrea had a bit of anxiety going on when people were asking her questions.
“And Claudia stopped the round table, she stopped it. She took her to one side, started dancing with her, and asked her if she was okay. She’s absolutely a beautiful soul.” You can catch up with all episodes of The Traitors on BBC iPlayer. Do you have a story to share? What episode does Amanda get banished?
Theo Mayne couldn’t believe it when Amanda Lovett chose to banish him (Picture: BBC) Theo Mayne’s time on The Traitors came to an emotional end – but not without one last twist of the knife. The cheerleading coach, 26, was banished by his fellow players in episode 9, after they suspected him of being a Traitor. Amanda chose Theo as the player she trusted the most just one day earlier (Picture: BBC) Theo also had his suspicions about Traitor Wilfred Webster (Picture: BBC) ‘I can’t hide my emotions on my face, my reactions are what I’m known for in my normal life, my face tells a thousand stories.’ On being voted for by Amanda, he continued: ‘I was so shocked, like: “What?! I was your 100% last night, honey, what are you doing? What’s this?”. The cheerleading coach decided it was the right time for him to leave the game (Picture: BBC/Studio Lambert Associates/Ma) ‘I am not justifying myself to these people. No, love. I’m not doing it. I knew I was a Faithful in there, I knew I was 100% authentically myself so I was ready, especially after the dinner the episode before, it felt like a good exit for me.’ His emotional exit, of course, followed a tearful speech at the party, in which Theo thanked his new friends for accepting him as a gay man. Theo went through all the emotions during The Traitors, especially when he was banished (Picture: BBC) ‘What you see is what you get with me. I would’ve found it so hard to be a Traitor because I couldn’t have even trusted myself! ‘I always trusted people until they give me a reason not to trust them.
Like with Claire, I knew as soon as I met her we would get along really well, and I thought the same with Amanda but, clearly, she was lying!’ However, when it came to second Traitor Wilfred Webster, he was on Theo’s radar due to suspicious body language. ‘His body language throughout the whole thing, when you’re sitting on your sofa watching him, you realise he was so nervous all the time, especially at the roundtable,’ Theo said.
‘I did call him out on it, I was like, “You’re very, very nervous tonight”, but it told a thousand stories – the same with Amanda! You watch her at breakfast and she’s sipping her tea, but you don’t pick up on it, meanwhile they’re both sitting there sweating.’ The Traitors is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
How old is Amanda from The Traitors?
The Traitors star Amanda Lovett has expressed a desire to do more reality TV work. The revelation comes after she won over the hearts of viewers during her time on the smash-hit BBC reality series, which was hosted by Strictly Come Dancing’s Claudia Winkleman,
- I’d love to do a reality TV show where the public vote rather than getting banished or murdered,” said the 54-year-old estate agent, who lives in the Swansea valley.
- She then added: “There’s a lot of irons on the fire at the moment with TV so yeah I’m not going anywhere!” Amanda was speaking at the 2023 Gaydio Awards, which was also attended by Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies and new BBC Radio 2 host Owain Wyn Evans,

- I’m in a bubble of love and I’ve really found my place – so don’t kick me out!” She then went on to say that, for the first time in her life, she feels like she “belongs”.
- She explained: “For people to feel they really love me for me is truly immense.
- I feel like I belong for the first time in my life.

Does Emily ever come out as Amanda?
Revenge recap: Emily Thorne, meet Amanda Clarke It’s a stunning testament to the general bananagrams insanity of last night’s episode of Revenge that one of my favorite characters got killed off and I don’t even mind. The ensemble cast of this show is like : Cut off a head, and two more takes will take its place.
So last night’s fast-paced hour alleviated the loss of one character — farewell, Frank the Passive-Aggressively Romantic Security Guy — by introducing two fascinating new characters: Warden Stiles, who is apparently the Mr. Miyagi of Vengeance; and the real Emily Thorne, who — as played by — quickly revealed herself to be a Homicidal Psycho Proletariat Stripper.
Also last night: one awesome character revealed his mysterious past and became even more awesome; the most ridiculous character somehow achieved whole new levels of ridiculousity; and the single least interesting character magically sprouted motivation and began to seem vastly more interesting.
Also, freaking Shakespeare was quoted. And it wasn’t even a famous line. It was a (relatively_ deep cut from Hamlet : “God has given you one face, and you make yourself another.” Emily quoted that line, and it handily sums up how the central conflict of Revenge has subtly shifted. When this show began, it was about how one woman built a new life for herself on a foundation of lies.
By the end of last night’s episode, it was becoming clear that everyone on the show was like that. (By the way, am I the only one who likes to picture Emily in her long years of Vengeance-Plotting staying up really late reading and memorizing Shakespeare?) All of the main characters are trying to build a new life for themselves by leveraging an assortment of falsehoods — white lies, half-truths, identity theft, Federal-court perjury.
- That’s especially true of Mama and Papa Grayson, who have converted one big lie — David Clarke’s guilt — into a lavish billion-dollar lifestyle.
- The Graysons began the episode engaged in their annual wedding-anniversary photo-op for that famous gossip rag The New York Times,
- I loved the way the interviewer stressed that they weren’t just getting the front page.
They were going to be above the fold,) “If you had to sum up your quarter century of marriage,” asked the interviewer, “What would you say is your secret?” “Love and respect,” deadpanned the philandering Papa Grayson. All season long, Emily has been chipping away at the Grayson’s Body Armor of Falsehood.
Last night, though, a pair of Grayson minions tried to strike back at her. Tyler took a subtle tactic: He stage-whispered Emily’s name and address to the Times reporter. Frank was somewhat less subtle. He strolled into Casa Thorne and announced that he knew all about her troubled past. “Two years at Allenwood Juvenile Detention.
Conviction for assault with a deadly weapon.” This wasn’t Emily’s actual troubled past, of course. She’s running a long con, Sawyer-style — instead of giving herself a spotless history, she’s given herself a shady history that is just embarrassing enough that no one would think the truth is even worse.
Frank promised to find out all of Emily’s secrets. He’s a simple man, an uncivilized man. Like Ned Stark on Game of Thrones, he doesn’t realize that it’s probably best not to loudly announce to your enemy that you intend to ruin her. Frank’s an old-school guy, so he straightened his tie and walked straight up to Victoria and gave her a promise: “I’m gonna redeem myself with you, Victoria.
Or I’m gonna die trying.” NEXT: Famous last words Let’s get one thing straight here: Nolan Ross is an absolutely ridiculous character. Even if you happily accept the dream logic of Revenge, you have to admit that nothing about Nolan corresponds to anything that even roughly approximates reality.
Roll with me on this for a second, fellow viewers: We’ve been told that Nolan is an internet billionaire. Since he worked with Amanda’s dad, and since Amanda’s dad was imprisoned in the early ’90s, and since he was already a magnificently wealthy man when Emily/Amanda emerged from captivity in the early ’00s, we have to conclude that he struck it rich in the first dotcom boom — pre-Facebook, pre-Google.
So, on a purely logistical level, it’s insane to suggest that he would have been headquartered anywhere other than Silicon Valley. And here’s the thing: It’s not like Nolan is one of those dotcom billionaires who sold a catchy concept, cashed out his stock options, and fled to a life of leisure before the bubble burst.
- We’re meant to understand that he’s an extremely public figure, a major power broker: Back in, the mere hint that he was going to invest in a cellular company turned Wall Street upside-down.
- So what’s he doing hanging out in the Hamptons trying to fit in with the old-rich families who are only rich because their great-great-grandfathers built the Transcontinental Railroad? If this were real life, Nolan would be above all this; he’d be a workaholic CEO who dresses in jeans and never talks to the media and spends his vacations on a tropical island snorting crushed Ketamine with his college buddies.
Nolan has a lot in common with the fictionalized version of Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network, a great movie built on one glaring fallacy: the idea that a brilliant young engineer would have any interest whatsoever in the uber-WASPy Ivy League Old Boys’ Club.
- This fallacy was explored in-depth in, which I would urge you to read skeptically, keeping in mind that Harvard is a clown college.) But it’s a compelling fallacy, the notion that the next wave of billionaires secretly wants to destroy and become the old wave of billionaires.
- In this sense, Nolan is a kind of cartoon extreme vision of The New Rich.
Imagine if, in the second half of The Social Network, Mark Zuckerberg grew his hair out, engaged in some hippie bisexual orgies, and then tried to hunt down the Winklevi with a machete, and you’ve got Nolan Ross. Nolan got his first genuine subplot last night, which illustrates this point perfectly.
Emily needed him to take care of the Tyler problem. “My first solo takedown?” he squealed. “I’m in.” Nolan strolled up to Tyler and mumbled something about a restraining order and Leslie Montgomery, and demanded that the Poolhouse Judas meet at Nolan’s house that night. Turns out that Tyler’s been working as a professional boytoy.
I loved the relish Nolan put on the line, “Seems you made Lesliea very nervous man,” (To quote : “It’s a man’s name!) Tyler admitted the truth: “A couple years ago, my family lost everything. The Barrels went from the Penthouse to the street overnight.” Tyler pointed out that Nolan was living a lonely life here in his glass house, and then they made out, both of them thinking they were playing each other, both of them getting played.
NEXT: Happy Anniversary! I want a divorce. Connor Paolo was yet again pioneering exciting new accents for Declan to try on: When he showed Charlotte his method for catching oysters, he said “This is how we do it on the docks!” and it sounded like “Dis izz how we due it on da docks!” Then she invited him to her parents’ anniversary dinner.
“To ya perr-entz annie-verz-surry dinnah?” he said. (For Paolo’s own analysis of Declan’s accent, check out,) It was a big night for the Porter brothers. Since Daniel name-checked the Stowaway in the Graysons’ Times profile, the bar had suddenly developed a fashionably horrible clientele.
One Cosmo, one sugar-free Margarita,” mumbled Jack. Emily strolled into the chaos to give Jack a peace offering: A Mariner’s Compass. She thanked him for fixing the porch swing. He offered her a shaved-ice Appletini, but she had to make her way back to Casa Grayson for the Anniversary Party. And she wasn’t the only one.
Declan strolled in wearing a gauche tan-gray jacket. “Happy Annie-verz-surry, Mizzuz G!” he said to Victoria. Mama Grayson flashed him a look that said, “I am a Goddess, and you are a Dickensian Orphan, and I am choosing not to squash you with my brain powers.” The hot topic at the dinner table was the pair of Grayson-centric Times pieces.
Ashley — who was allowed to sit at the table at the invitation of Tyler — mumbled something about how the piece about the Graysons’ marriage was “very inspiring.” Emily admitted that she couldn’t even look at the piece about her and Daniel’s relationship. “Dat’s funny,” said Declan, “Needa could my brudda.” Ashley decided to propose a toast to Emily and Daniel: “To the Hamptons’ very own William and Kate!” Clearly deep into a glass of expensive wine, Conrad mumbled, “The Duke of Cambridge wouldn’t be caught dead working in a dive bar.” Declan felt insulted.
He didn’t work in a dive bar; he worked in a fashionably, Times -approved dive bar! He made an angry socialistic speech about how the rich should burn in hell, and also casually mentioned that Emily was totally vibing on his brudda, and then he stormed off.
Declan Porter: Social Assassin. The table cleared, leaving Queen Victoria and King Conrad all alone at an empty table. Victoria couldn’t take it anymore: “We’re drowning in lies, all of us.” Earlier in the episode, Conrad had told Victoria that, despite all their problems, “I’ve never really loved another woman like I’ve loved you.” (Turns out that he was married when they first met, which gives his dalliance with Lydia a cruel ironic knife-stab.) Now, in the fit of an argument, he accusingly told Victoria that she had never looked at him the way she looked at David Clarke: “Not once.” Victoria told Conrad to get out of her house, and he happily complied — fleeing to the cold embrace of Lydia’s hospital room, where his mere presence somehow rousted her from her coma.
(How much would you wager that Lydia has convenient amnesia?) The Grayson children each retreated to their respective significant others. Charlotte drove out to Poorville to tell Declan that she loved how honest he was. Daniel cruised over to Casa Thorne to tell Emily that he was falling in love with her.
- They kissed, but in the warmth of Daniel’s embrace, Emily caressed the arm of her porch swing, and dreamed of another man.
- A man with perfect stubble, a man who doesn’t vaguely resemble Mac from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,
- A man she could have lovedin another life.
- For me, though, the most exciting development in this corner of the Hamptons had to do with a character who, up until now, has seemed peculiarly useless: Ashley, the Bad Luck party planner.
Arriving back from his dalliance with Nolan, Tyler offered his apologies for missing the party. Ashley, apropos of nothing, suddenly developed an entire inner psychodrama: “I’ve wanted to be a player in the scenes, not lurking behind them. I don’t get to sit on my ass and watch my inheritance grow like every other spoiled twentysomething around here.
My loyalties lie with Ashley.” Tyler was so moved by this revelation that he told her his own truth about his father’s bankrupt company. There was no real reason for a smooth operator like Tyler to do this, and there was something oddly moving about seeing these two people — who are both hustlers in their own way — suddenly find common ground.
Revenge seems to be suggesting that — in a world that runs on falsehood — the only way to make a connection is to find someone whose lies perfectly complement your own. NEXT: Requiem for a Security Guy Frank the Security Guy did his best Sam Spade impersonation at the Juvenile Center.
- Warden Sharon Stiles ( CCH Motherfreakin’ Pounder!!! ) was there to answer all his questions calmly but firmly.
- After their meeting, the Warden called Emily to chastise her.
- What’s the first thing I taught you?” she asked.
- Never underestimate your enemy,” said Emily.
- And never let your guard down,” completed the Warden.
(I’m looking forward to the flashback where the Warden plays Sean Connery to Emily’s Christopher Lambert. Highlander is so cool.) Sure enough, Frank broke into the Warden’s files and found a picture of the real Emily Thorne: A young sandy-blonde woman with murderous eyes.
Next, we saw him inside of a strip club. “Fast Company” by the Eagles was playing on the soundtrack. The girl onstage was dressed up as a sexy policewoman. Frank asked for a private session. “You look like a cop,” she said. “So do you,” Frank responded. He asked her a few questions, and she admitted the “truth”: She was Amanda Clarke, ” Time Magazine’s daughter of the devil, in the flesh.” Frank said he knew the truth: She was the real Emily Thorne.
Real-Emily gave Frank the scoop. She was Fake-Emily’s cellmate in Juvie, and she took a boatload of cash in return for pretending to be Amanda Clarke. Unfortunately, she didn’t make extremely wise investments — presumably, she put half her money into cocaine and gave the rest to the Big Idea Boys at Lehman Brothers — but even without the cash, she was still pretending to be Amanda.
- Why? “When I became Amanda,” she explained, “I became somebody.
- You’re not the first person to come looking for Amanda Clarke.” It’s an interesting, peculiarly modern notion: It’s better to be a fallen rich person than a plain old poor person.
- A stripper is just a stripper, until you find out she’s the daughter of a disgraced billionaire, and then you might pay extra for a lap-dance.
Frank offered Amanda some cash. He was victorious. He called his lady love, Queen Victoria, and told her that she was right. “Emily Thorne is not who she claims to b–” he said, before he was suddenly cut off by the chance meeting of his forehead and a tire iron.
Witness the Cruel Dawn of Fake Amanda Clarke, smashing Frank’s noble head in and stealing his cell phone. (In our Revenge feature running in this week’s magazine, the show’s producers seemed to confirm that Frank is genuinely Dead-dead, not fake-Lydia coma-dead. So put that grain of salt in your pipe and smoke it.) Thanks to Frank’s information, she knew exactly where to find her old cellmate.
She knocked on the door and hugged her old friend. We saw a flashback to their meet-ugly, when they attacked each other in their cell like a pair of wild cats. Now, though, they seemed to be best friendsso much so that Amanda/Emily had no qualms of killing Frank the Security Guy and leaving his corpse on the side of the road.
- Add a new weapon to the Revenge arsenal, alongside the Sniper Scope of Convoluted Vengeance and the Sawed-Off Shotgun of Haphazard Retaliation: The Tire Iron of Overzealous Reprisal.
- And that, my friends, is how you do a freaking hour of television.
- Revelation, retribution, death, a web of lies tangling all our charactersexciting stuff! How do you think the arrival of Amanda will impact Emily’s plans? Will Lydia strike back against Emilyor the Graysons? Are you as intrigued as I am by the revelation that Ashley might actually have a brain in her gorgeously beautiful head? Did anyone happen to catch Daniel’s side-stomach tattoo? (I wonder if it’s a Mickey Rourke poem.) Lastly, can we all agree that the Stowaway looks like an awesome bar? People, they have shuffleboard,

Does Amanda leave revenge?
Season 1 – From this point on, she will be referred to as Amanda Clarke, her official name In ” Charade “, Frank Stevens, the Graysons’ right-hand man, finds Amanda while investigating Emily Thorne. His investigation leads him to Allenwood and eventually to a strip club where Amanda was working.
- Despite their lack of contact for years, Amanda was still very loyal to her old friend, killing Frank to protect their secret.
- After the murder, Amanda made her way to the Hamptons and showed up on Emily’s doorstep.
- Her old friend was not happy to see her because it complicated her plans for revenge.
- She then temporarily stays with Nolan Ross who does not trust her.
Armed with the knowledge Emily gave her years before, Amanda was able to attract Jack Porter, whom she had heard so much about from Emily. When Emily, still harboring feelings for her childhood friend, realizes that Amanda might entrap Jack, she tries to get Amanda out of the Hamptons.
Amanda, however, found herself quickly falling for Jack and later told him that she was Amanda Clarke. Delighted about apparently reuniting with Amanda, they begin officially seeing each other. The “truth” about Amanda’s past spread like wildfire throughout the community, with Victoria Grayson even secretly running a DNA test between her and Charlotte Grayson, Emily’s sister through David,
Emily, hearing of Victoria’s plan through Ryan Huntley, intervened and switched Amanda’s sample with hers. The presence of Amanda at the Hamptons not only unnerved the Graysons, but also threatened to derail Emily’s plans. Amanda, although willing to help Emily because of their bond, soon found herself feeling used by Emily when she learned of all the lies Emily had told her.
- Emily ultimately gave Amanda the scoop on how the Graysons framed her father to take the fall for the terrorists.
- This information finally convinced Amanda to leave town.

Will Alex join The Traitors?
BBC The Traitors viewers were left unsurprised as Alex Gray was eliminated after refusing her offer to betray the Faithfuls. Alex had a tumultuous time on the show before her exit, after her boyfriend Tom Elderfield revealed their relationship to the entire group, before he was voted off.
Alex became a fan-favourite with viewers, but in a game that is based on backstabbing and tactical tricks, no one is ever safe. The Traitors, Amanda and Will, previously extended an olive branch to the actor to join their cloak and daggers team working against the group. In frustration that Alex didn’t accept their offer, the devious duo decided to ‘murder’ her instead.
The rest of the group gathered round for breakfast the morning after, when they realised that Alex had been chosen by the Traitors when Amos walked in alone. The show flashed back to the night before in the castle dungeon, the Traitors discussed their decision.
- So are we agreed with Alex?” Amanda asked.
- Yeah, 100 per cent,” Will said.
- Do you know what I love, it’s like, you declined it, you tried to make a big show of it, now we’re here to show we’ll follow through with what we want to do.” As Alex read her murder letter to the camera, she became visibly upset to learn of her fate.
“Dear Alex, you should have accepted,” the star read. “Bye bye. By order of the Traitors, you have been murdered.” Alex had to make a decision whether to join The Traitors and leave The Faithfuls (Image: BBC) Alex then said: “This is a really hard game. This is a lot harder than I thought it was gonna be. But overall, I kind of proved myself to the group that I was a faithful.
- And I’m happy about that, however in terms of strategy of the game, that was probably my downfall.” Fans of the show took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the elimination.

A third ranted: “unbeliveable that the group hasn’t learned that “new information being revealed” doesn’t mean someone is a traitor (Alex & Tom)! It’s precisely because of this paranoia that people keep things to themselves #maddy #TheTraitors ” Another tweeted: “With Alex out, I’ve lost interest in #TheTraitors,” while someone else wrote: “Gutted for Alex, but the right move for the traitors absolutely.” BBC The Traitors will continue tomorrow on BBC One at 9pm.

Do they know how many traitors there are?
With all the contestants arriving at the castle as “Faithfuls”, they will soon find out their fate in the game – whether they are playing as a “Faithful” or as a “Traitor. The role of the Faithfuls is to find the Traitors amongst the group and banish them all before the end of the game. Whilst the Traitors aim is to stay undetected and escape being banished.
If the Faithfuls successfully banish all the Traitors before the end of the game, the remaining Faithfuls are the winners and walk away with the prize money. If, however, there are any Traitors remaining at the end of the game, the remaining Traitor(s) will win and take it all.
In most episodes, the group gathers at the Round Table to discuss who they suspect of being a Traitor and have the opportunity to “banish” a contestant, eliminating them from the game. Will the Faithfuls successfully detect a Traitor amongst them or will the Traitors remain hidden? The contestant who receives the most votes is banished, leaving the Programme immediately but not before revealing to the rest of the group whether they are a Faithful or a Traitor.
Most evenings, the Traitors meet in secret and have the opportunity to choose a Faithful they wish to “murder”, eliminating them from the game. The Traitors together must decide on one contestant they wish to murder and leave the game. The chosen Faithful will find out they have been murdered when they receive the “death warrant” – a letter from the Traitors – with the rest of the group discovering the identity of the ‘murdered’ contestant at breakfast the next morning.
The total number of Traitors in the game at any time is never revealed to the Faithfuls but may change through banishment or recruitment. If a Traitor is banished before the end game, the Traitors may have the opportunity to recruit a Faithful to join them as a Traitor and if they agree, they become a Traitor from that moment on for the remainder of their time in the game.
The Faithful and the Traitors must work together as a group in a series of challenges and tasks known as “Missions” for the chance to earn money towards the prize fund, with a total prize fund of up to £120,000 (one hundred and twenty thousand pounds) available to be won.
