Why would Georgia kill Tom in Ginny and Georgia?
Why Georgia Killed Tom In Ginny & Georgia Season 2 – It’s difficult to understand why Georgia would do something so needless as killing someone after the lengths she’s gone to protect her family, but surprisingly, she murders Tom with good intentions. During Ginny & Georgia season 2, Georgia has an important conversation with Cynthia that catalyzes her actions.
- Cynthia reveals the burden Tom’s illness has been on her, as well as her concerns about Zach’s memory of his father.
- The latter struggle is something that Georgia empathizes with, as she’s worked to give Austin a good image of Gil to look up to.
- Out of her empathy and sympathy, Georgia kills Tom to ease the Fullers’ burden.
Even though Georgia’s decision to kill Tom is one of the most needlessly risky acts she’s committed, it’s also important for her character because of why she did it. The other crimes that Georgia has committed have been in the interest of self-preservation or anger, regardless of the greater impact it might have.
Why did Georgia feel the need to kill Tom?
Who Is Tom Fuller? Why Did Georgia Kill Tom? – As noted in our finale recap, while Georgia and Paul are having their first dance, Gabriel and the cops interrupt by busting in and arresting Georgia for murder. Georgia has committed her fair share of crimes over the years, but that night, Gabriel and the cops were able to link her to the murder of Tom Fuller.
So who is Tom Fuller? Cynthia Fuller’s husband! And why did Georgia kill Tom? Well, she thought she was doing Cynthia a favor by putting him — and hopefully Cynthia and her son — out of their misery. Confused? Let’s back up. Early in Season 2, we learned that Cynthia’s husband was essentially dying and was in a coma as a result of an illness.
He was hooked up to life support machines in a bed in Cynthia’s living room, and the uncertainty of his future and grief of having to live with him in that unrecognizable state was taking a major toll on Cynthia and her son. Cynthia and Georgia had their differences throughout the series, but after Cynthia helped protect Georgia, Ginny, and Austin from Austin’s dad Gil, the two moms started to genuinely bond.
One night, while Georgia was chatting with Cynthia in her kitchen, Cynthia opened up to her and expressed a desire for her husband’s suffering (and her family’s suffering) to be over. When Cynthia went upstairs to check on the boys, Georgia headed into the living room, looked down at Tom’s body, and presumably smothered him with a pillow.
After the life drained from Tom and his machines started wildly beeping, Georgia shouted up to Cynthia and told him that his end had come. To Cynthia, the death appeared to be natural. But Georgia’s son Austin was hiding in the room when the murder happened and saw everything.
- Austin didn’t tell anyone what he saw that night, but after Gabriel learned that Georgia was in the room with Tom when he died he called the police and reported a suspicious death, so officers likely looked into Tom’s cause of death and found foul play.
- Thus, Georgia was arrested.
- Murder is, crucially, illegal and bad.
But in Georgia’s mind, the murders she committed were justified because the men were abusive or suffering. As Ginny found out more about her mother’s past in Season 2, she came to better understand that her mom had engaged in criminal behavior in her past because she was trying to protect herself, Ginny, and Austin.
Why did Georgia kill Cynthia’s husband?
Why Did Georgia Murder Tom in Ginny & Georgia? – Georgia killed Tom because she thought she was helping Cynthia (Sabrina Grdevic), Georgia’s neighbor had confided in her, explaining how difficult it had been living with her husband in a coma, and how neither she nor her son could move on.
- Cynthia felt she wanted closure as her husband wasn’t going to wake up, and wanted her son Zach (Connor Laidman) to remember his father as the man with whom he played and not this bedridden version.
- Georgia had just learned Cynthia had helped her blacklist her ex Gil (Aaron Ashmore) so he couldn’t get a house in Wellsbury.
She felt the best way to return the favor was mercy-killing Cynthia’s husband and ending the family’s misery once and for all. It’s ironic this mercy kill might be the one that gets Georgia put in prison after the many illegal things she’s done in the past.
Who told on Georgia for killing Tom?
When Georgia’s colleague Nick (Dan Beirne) lets it slip to Cordova (who’s been pretending to be his school teacher boyfriend for months) that Georgia was with Cynthia (Sabrina Grdevich) and her husband Tom when he died, Cordova jumps on the information and immediately calls the local police to report a suspected murder
Does Georgia suffocate Tom?
What happened to Tom in ‘Ginny and Georgia’? – Let’s put it this way — Tom’s fate is far more complex than a simple act of murder. During the course of the show, Georgia bonds with Tom’s wife Cynthia, who struggles with the guilt she feels wanting to move on with her life given that Tom is terminally ill. Amidst her guilt, Cynthia begins having an affair and spends her evenings drinking alone. Source: Netflix Article continues below advertisement So why on earth did Georgia kill her friend’s husband? To add another layer of tragedy to the whole situation, it turns out Georgia only suffocated Tom with a pillow to end his and Cynthia’s misery once and for all. Source: Netflix This is definitely true considering Season 2’s cliffhanger ending. Georgia’s fatal error was failing to realize that there was a witness to her act of mercy, her son Austin (Diesel La Torraca). But, Austin swore he didn’t tell anybody what he witnessed. So, how did the police discover what happened to Tom? Article continues below advertisement
Do they find out Georgia killed Kenny?
1. Kenny Drexel – Who did Georgia kill in season 1, then? The first season of Ginny & Georgia kicks off with a mysterious death: that of Kenny Drexel (Darryl Scheelar), Georgia’s wealthy husband and Ginny’s stepfather. While it appears as if Kenny simply suffers a heart attack while driving, we eventually find out that Georgia actually killed him with wolfsbane, an extremely poisonous blue flower blended into his protein shake, which is what causes him to go into cardiac arrest.
While Ginny struggles with knowing that Georgia has killed a person after PI Gabriel Cordova (Alex Mallari Jr.) tells her of his suspicions about her mother, she realizes that Georgia did so because she saw Kenny sexually assaulting the teen and touching her inappropriately while she did yoga the night before his death.
She ultimately chooses to protect her mother and does not give Cordova any information about what really happened. As well as killing Kenny, Georgia also had his body exhumed and cremated and, at the end of season one, we find out that she also turned his ashes into fireworks to celebrate her fiancé Paul’s reelection as mayor of Wellsbury. Who was in the room when Georgia killed Tom?
How does Austin know that Georgia killed someone? – The final scene of the finale shows Georgia being put into the back of a cop car as Paul, her kids, and the wedding guests watch. As “Going to the Chapel” plays, Ginny grips her little brother’s shoulders, and he reveals his own secret, saying, “I didn’t tell anyone,” before he races out of the cop car.
The night that Tom died, Austin had been playing hide and seek in the Fuller house and hid in the father’s closet. He was still in there when Georgia came into the room and smothered the man with a pillow, and he saw everything. At the beginning on the finale, all of the Millers were holding onto one huge secret, as they covered up Gil’s shooting from Paul.
With that final scene, as Ginny digested what Austin said and the cop car rolled down Main Street in parallel to the family’s arrival in Wellsbury, viewers are left wondering whether the family of three can (or should) keep the new crime from coming to light. - Season two of Ginny & Georgia was recently released on Netflix this January, and fans who have already finished the season are desperate to know more about the character Tom Fuller.
Here’s everything you need to know about this character. **Warning! If you haven’t finished season 2, there are major spoilers ahead! So please don’t read any further!** (Image credit: Netflix) In season 1 of Ginny & Georgia, Cynthia Fuller was introduced as a minor character who was running against Paul Randolph for Mayor.
In the season animosity was built as their campaigns clashed and Cynthia accused Paul of having an inappropriate relationship with his employee, Georgia (which was true) and that Georgia kept guns in her home, knowing Paul was very pro-gun control. Cynthia also accused Georgia of stealing money from work (which was also true) but Georgia put the money back in time so there was no evidence to support the claim.
It was also revealed that as well as being a ruthless political figure, Cynthia also had a difficult home life as her husband Tom was in a locked-in state and was slowly dying in a hospital chair in their front room, while hooked up to monitors and feeding tubes. (Image credit: Netflix) In the penultimate episode of season 2, Tom Fuller becomes one of the three people that Georgia has killed in Ginny & Georgia, Unlike her other murders, Georgia did this one for Cynthia as an actor of mercy to help her family move on.
This mercy killing takes place in episode nine of season two when Georgia pops over to Cynthia’s and the pair share some booze. While chatting, Cynthia confesses, ‘I slept with someone, I cheated on my dying husband.’ Cynthia admits that she is struggling and feeling guilty about cheating on Tom with Joe.
Cynthia also says she feels guilty about being frustrated about Tom’s slow deterioration. She says she was told he would have passed by Christmas, but now it is February and he is still holding on. It is this confession that leads Georgia to take matters into her own hands and suffocate Tom with his pillow from behind her head. (Image credit: Netflix) At the end of the episode, Georgia is then arrested for murdering Tom Fuller while she is dancing with her husband Paul at their wedding reception. The arresting officer announces as he walks towards the bride, “Georgia Miller, you’re under the arrest for the murder of Tom Fuller.” “What, excuse me? What is happening?” says a shocked Paul as he adds supportively, “Listen, I’ll call the lawyer. (Image credit: Netflix ) The series ends with Georgia being taken away by the police and looking at potentially being imprisoned for Tom’s murder. This is the perfect cliffhanger for the season and left fans with a number of questions that need answering in season 3 of Ginny & Georgia,
What did Georgia do with the body?
There’s More To The End of Ginny & Georgia Season 1 Than Meets The Eye Warning: Spoilers for Ginny & Georgia season 1 are ahead. Things are left on a precarious note at the, Not only is private investigator Cordova (Alex Mallari Jr.)learning more about murderous past, but Ginny (Antonia Gentry) has also learned about it.
In response, Ginny has decided to take off with her little brother, lest they be involved in any more of Georgia’s criminal activity. But it’s not so much just by killing her husband Kenny (Darryl Scheelar) and hiding the evidence that Ginny’s upset about. Ginny’s desire to get away from her mother is much more complicated than it initially appears.
Advertisement ADVERTISEMENT After Cordova tells Ginny that he suspects Georgia may have killed Kenny, Ginny remembered how right before his death, Kenny sexually assaulted her when he touched her inappropriately, despite her protest, during a yoga lesson.
Ginny seems to recognize that her mother killed Kenny to protect her, so Ginny protects her mom by not saying anything to the P.I. But just because Ginny appears to understand where her mother was coming from, that doesn’t excuse all the other things Ginny is upset about. In Ginny and her mother’s final scene together, flashes of these unforgivable moments run through Ginny’s head — things like finding Georgia’s gun in the floorboards and the time that Georgia slapped Ginny.
On top of that, Ginny blames her mom for things not working out between Georgia and Ginny’s dad Zion (Nathan Mitchell), even though the decision for Zion to leave wasn’t a one-sided decision. Ginny is also furious that Georgia never mailed any of the letters that Austin (Diesel La Torraca) wrote to his father.
When Ginny confronts her mother about this, Georgia tries to explain that Ginny just doesn’t understand the reasons why Georgia’s been hiding Austin’s father from him. “Maybe that’s because you never tell me anything ever!” Ginny shouts. Georgia says she can’t tell Ginny anything because she can’t trust her.
That seems to be what hurt Ginny the most — the lies. Perhaps Ginny could have gotten past her mom killing Kenny, as anyone watching the show can. You want to root for Georgia because it does appear that she at least thinks her heart is in the right place.
- But her moral compass is skewed or even missing.
- All she does is survive at all costs, even at the expense of her own family.
- Advertisement ADVERTISEMENT Ginny can’t stand feeling on the outside in her own home.
- All of the lies, the gun, the un-mailed letters, Kenny — it makes Ginny feel like she doesn’t really know her mom.
In the first episode, Georgia told Ginny that it was just them against the world, but Ginny seems to realize by the finale that it’s just Georgia against the world. She can’t even let Ginny or Austin into the reality of her worldview. So Ginny has to get out.
Ginny doesn’t even know the full scope of the secrets her mother has kept from her. There’s also all the money her mother stole from the town and the fact that it sure looks like Georgia framed Austin’s father and sent him to jail. (It’s a “joke” that Georgia makes in the first episode that is starting to seem like more of an admission of guilt.) Ginny also doesn’t know that in addition to Georgia killing Kenny, she also had his body exhumed, cremated, and his ashes turned into in the fireworks used to celebrate Mayor Paul’s (Scott Porter) re-election.
(A clever way of hiding the evidence, however dark.) But there’s somehow more. At the end of the season, Cordova learns that Georgia was married when she was a teenager in New Orleans. That man is now a missing person. He likely met the same fate as Kenny, because when Georgia has her friend help with Kenny’s body, she mentions that she needs him to help her like he “did in New Orleans,” with the man we later learn is Anthony Green (Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll).
Georgia married him to prove she was stable enough to care for Ginny so the state would let her keep her daughter, but he was abusive and controlling too, and it seems Georgia — who was a victim of her step-father’s abuse as a pre-teen — thought there was no way out besides killing him. Ginny doesn’t fully understand the reasons her mom is the way she is or the fact that Kenny isn’t the first person she’s killed.
So right now, her faith in her mother has been shattered; everything Ginny thought she knew is a lie. Georgia’s actions hurt her family, even when she thinks she’s trying to help them, and that damage will be hard to repair when Netflix inevitably grants the series a second season.
Does Ginny get pregnant?
Is Ginny pregnant in the season finale of Ginny & Georgia? – While Ginny discovers sex with Marcus during the first season, she does not get pregnant like her mother did when she was a teenager. She does have a minor freak out about contraception but Georgia puts her on contraception before she even knows Ginny has been sexually active. (Image credit: Netflix)
What did Georgia do to her first husband?
Kenny Drexel – When the series begins, Ginny Miller is pulled out of school because a horrific accident has just occurred: her stepfather Kenny and one of Georgia’s lovers, has died. At first glance, it seems that Kenny had a heart attack while driving, leading him to steer off the road and to his untimely death.
However, flashbacks give insight into what really happened to Kenny on the day of his death, and none of it was an accident. After witnessing her wealthy husband sexually assault her teenage daughter, Georgia makes one of her most questionable decisions and puts a poisonous flower in his protein shake.
She hands it off to him as he goes to work, and a few sips get his heart racing, forcing him into cardiac arrest. Georgia uses the inheritance to start a new life with Ginny and Austin, and while P.I. Gabriel Cordova dug deep into Kenny’s case, he wasn’t able to come up with enough evidence to charge Georgia for Kenny’s murder.
Did Georgia get Kenny’s money?
Wrong Choice: Stealing Money From The Mayor Was Risky Business – Unfortunately, one of Georgia’s worst decisions was stealing money from the mayor. Georgia’s late husband, Kenny, was a very wealthy man. When he died, his money went to Georgia and her children. However, Kenny’s first wife was able to freeze that money after she launched an investigation into his death, meaning Georgia doesn’t get Kenny’s money.
Does Georgia end up with Zion?
Georgia – Zion met Georgia when they were both teenagers, and they fell in love right away. Zion knows about and was largely present throughout Georgia’s past, including the situation with her family and her joining a motorcycle gang, among other things.
- Eventually, Georgia gets pregnant with him, and they have Ginny together.
- Georgia knew that Zion had other aspirations in life than being a full-time father, so she made a pact that would make it so that Georgia would raise Ginny alone, Despite this, Zion still visited them often, but as a result wasn’t very present during Ginny’s upbringing.
Ginny mentions that after breaking up with Gil, Georgia and Zion got back together a few times only to break up, and as a result they never properly had a relationship. At a certain point, Zion wants to settle down with Georgia, but when he finds out she’s with Paul, he backs out of that idea and proceeds to just stick to co-parenting with Georgia, to which they both end up being content with.
Does Austin use Georgia’s gun?
Is Austin taking after his mother? – In flashbacks throughout Season Two, viewers learn that Gil was physically abusive and that Georgia framed him for embezzling money from his company. He was arrested and Georgia fled their apartment with Ginny and Austin.
In Episode Nine, titled “Kill Gil,” Gil threatens to expose Georgia’s past to Paul and tries to extort money from her. He later goes to her home and attacks Georgia until Austin uses a gun that Georgia hid upstairs to shoot his dad. Ginny also sees Austin shoot Gil. She works with her mom and brother to cover up the scene before Paul returns home.
Georgia avoids calling the police and instead bandages Gil’s wound as she directs her children what to do so that Paul does not suspect anything is wrong. While some viewers might see the scene as Georgia inducting her children into her world of crime and secrets, Lampert says the scene represents how Georgia is willing to put her trauma with Gil aside, temporarily, to protect Austin and ensure he was not taken away from her.
“I’m not saying she does it in the right way. But she does it in the way that she knows best, which is to maintain as much control over the situation as she possibly can,” Lampert shares. She continues, “We see her go upstairs and let the mask down and let them in for the first time. She sees that a line has been crossed.
She’s tried to shield her kids from all of that violence, all of that ugliness, their whole lives. What Season Two has been about is them creeping behind that wall and seeing more and more of it. By the end of Season Two, I think (Georgia) finally has to really give them the full story.
Why is Ginny mad at Georgia?
Ginny and Georgia spoilers follow. Note: The following article contains discussion of themes including self-harm. “It’s just so fun to hate Ginny,” declares Ginny (played by Antonia Gentry) early on in season two of the popular Netflix series. The Wellsbury teen may be referring to the fact she was kicked out of her friendship group MANG (Max, Abby, Norah, Ginny) for sleeping with Max’s (Sara Waisglass) twin brother Marcus (Felix Mallard), but the Ginny Miller hate train seems to extend beyond the show – and it doesn’t make sense.
- The Ginny backlash is by no means a new development.
- Fans of the teen dramedy took to social media (in their swarms, might we add) to voice their frustrations over the character’s coldness towards her mother Georgia (Brianne Howey) way back in season one.
- But given the many layers season two adds to Ginny’s character in order to offer viewers a better understanding of her own perspective on things, it was surprising to learn that the backlash persists.
Is Ginny controversial at times? Yes, she certainly has her moments. Like when she cheated on Hunter (Mason Temple) with Marcus. (Gincus/Marcy forever, though). But to suggest that she’s just some bratty, ungrateful teenager with no valid reasons for being volatile towards Georgia suggests that you haven’t really been watching the show at all.
Don’t get us wrong, we love Georgia. We really do. She’s the type of character who could literally murder (and she literally does) and still be likeable. She loves her children deeply and has even shown a lot of growth in the parenting department this season. But while we as viewers are offered flashbacks to Georgia’s abusive past and can understand and empathise with the decisions she’s had to make based on the shitty cards life has dealt her, that isn’t Ginny’s perspective.
She hasn’t got that same grasp on her mum’s past as we do. We know Georgia murdered her ex-husband Kenny, moved her kids around and used credit cards in their names among other things to doggedly protect them from the life she had, but Ginny is forced to carry around the burden of all this knowledge without any real context and, understandably, she’s angry. Netflix Georgia does provide her daughter with some context at the end of episode three, mind, in an emotional monologue delivered by the always-captivating Howey. “There was no one protecting me, Ginny. No one,” she says. “I may be wrong, and I may be horrible, and I may be ugly and not worthy of anything.
But you are. And it was up to me to make sure you got that. And like it or not, I did that. I took all the darkness and I ate it. So that you, my daughter, could live a good life.” With a better understanding of Georgia’s motivations (though it’s still not quite the same as the front row seat we’re offered as viewers), Ginny is able to somewhat move past the guilt she harbours over Kenny’s death and the mother-daughter duo start to mend their strained relationship.
Sort of. Ginny’s mental health is pushed to the fore in season two and she starts therapy for her self-harming, which, as we come to learn, began when she was just twelve years old as a result of her unstable upbringing. Netflix Ginny tells Dr Lily (Zarrin Darnell-Martin) that she was invited to a birthday party when she was twelve. To a child who was constantly moved around and never got the chance to make any real friends or fit in anywhere, this was a big stepping stone for her.
But Georgia decided to move the family once again and Ginny was unable to go. Shortly after, with “this insane, pent-up energy and the urge to just hurt,” she burned herself for the first time. Again, we know why Georgia ran. She was trying to keep her children safe. But this chaotic lifestyle unintentionally caused an adverse effect on Ginny and is actually the root of her trauma.
Georgia doesn’t really start to understand things from Ginny’s perspective until she learns about her self-harming and attends her therapy session, finally opening the door to some better communication between them and (hopefully) a more stable relationship. Netflix The therapy session is also when Ginny is able to explain how she feels about her mother’s lack of understanding when it comes to her race, like the time she dressed up as Scarlett O’Hara for Halloween without thinking about the impact it would and did have on Ginny.
It’s another prevalent aspect of Ginny’s life that Georgia failed to fully understand until the session, and another valid reason for some of Ginny’s discontent towards her mother. And yet, despite all of this, Ginny is a sixteen-year-old girl. Murderous mother (we still love you Georgia) aside, she’s a realistic sixteen-year-old.
It’s normal for hormonal teens to be moody and have spats with their parents and this doesn’t automatically make them bad people. But coupled with everything else, it’s all heightened for Ginny and her rebellion does make sense. It might be fun for some of you to hate on Ginny, but that doesn’t make it fair.
Who does Georgia end up with?
In the Season 2 finale, Georgia marries Mayor Paul Randolph (played by Scott Porter) after she confesses a lot (but certainly not all) of her past sins to him and then she gets arrested for murder mid-wedding, somewhat ruining the mood. ‘Til arrest do us part: Georgia (Brianne Howey) faces the music mid first dance.
Is Tom in a coma Ginny and Georgia?
Who is Tom Fuller in Ginny and Georgia season 2? – Tom Fuller is the husband of Cynthia Fuller. At the beginning of the second season, we learn that Tom is in a comatose state after suffering from an unknown illness. We also learn that he will likely never wake from the coma or recover.
- So, Cynthia spends most of the season struggling to deal with her husband dying while also taking care of her kid Zach.
- She eventually finds a distraction in Joe, but that romantic relationship is short-lived after Cynthia realizes that Joe is in love with Georgia.
- Although Cynthia and Georgia spend most of the season as enemies, they eventually reach common ground after Cynthia blacklists Georgia’s abusive ex-boyfriend Gil from getting an apartment in Wellsbury.
They end up having a heart-to-heart conversation in Cynthia’s kitchen, where Cynthia discusses with Georgia how Tom’s illness has been affecting her and Zach. But once the conversation ended, Georgia did something that completely threw us for a loop.
What did Georgia do to Tom?
What happened to Tom Fuller in ‘Ginny & Georgia’? – Tom Fuller from Ginny & Georgia (played by Vincent Legault) suffered from a serious illness (which is not explicitly revealed on the show), and doctors reveal that recovery is not in the cards. In an unexpected enemies-to-friends situation, Cynthia (Sabrina Grdevich) finds herself opening up to Georgia (Brianne Howey) about the struggle she and her son are experiencing because of Tom’s situation. (Image credit: Brooke Palmer/Netflix © 2022) Tom eventually passes away in Ginny & Georgia season 2 at the hands of Georgia Miller, who decided to take on the role of God. After a particularly emotional visit to Tom’s bedside, she wants to help Cynthia and her son escape from their never-ending grief, so she suffocates Tom with a pillow.
The shocking Ginny & Georgia season 2 ending only gets more intense from there. Although Georgia believes she’s alone when she suffocates Tom, her son Austin is watching from behind closed doors. “That was not something I knew about in advance,” Howey told TODAY about the emotional scene. “There was a different plan in mind, and then I had a meeting with the creator and showrunner, Sarah and Deb.
We sat down and they told us Georgia’s character arc and my mind was just blown. I did not know how or if I would be able to justify this or pull it off.” (Image credit: Netflix) Later, when she’s on Cloud 9 at her wedding to Paul (you remember the stunning Ginny & Georgia wedding dress, right?) authorities came in and shut the party down by taking Georgia away in handcuffs for the murder of Tom Fuller.
While Austin is supposedly the only witness, after Georgia is arrested, he reveals that he didn’t tell anyone about his mother’s crime. But if he didn’t, who did? How was Georgia’s act uncovered? The list of people Georgia killed spiked in the second season—but this time around, the act was a little different, in that it wasn’t done in order to protect her kids.
It was the first murder she committed to help another family. But unsurprisingly, outsiders might (understandably) not be thrilled with Georgia determining life and death herself, especially when it comes to Tom from Ginny & Georgia’s case. Before we learn how it will all unfold, and if there will be justice for Tom, we’ll have to wait for Ginny & Georgia season 3 to get the green light.
What did Georgia put in Kenny’s smoothie?
2) Kenny Drexel – Georgia’s second, and perhaps most infamous, murder is Kenny Drexel. In season 1, Georgia moves to Wellsbury after her second husband Kenny dies. We soon find out that Kenny died after having a heart attack while driving. Nevertheless, it’s soon shown that Georgia poisoned Kenny by putting wolfsbane in his smoothie and that caused the heart attack. Why does Georgia kill Kenny in Ginny & Georgia? Picture: Netflix
Does Paul know Georgia killed Kenny?
What’s Going to Happen With Georgia? – A lot went down this season, particularly when it came to Georgia and her many secrets coming to light. Out of all the things she could be arrested for, viewers may not have expected the death of Cynthia’s terminally ill husband. (Credit: Courtesy of Netflix) “Cinematically, we love ending seasons on cliffhangers,” Fisher gushes. “As Georgia’s being arrested, being driven out in a cop car and having Austin chase her, it’s just such a beautiful callback to she is such an incredibly nuanced and layered character.
We learned so much more about her past with the flashbacks, and her darkest secrets are all brought to the surface.” Related While Georgia did forgo telling Paul about killing her ex-husbands Kenny (Darryl Scheelar) and Anthony (Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll) — she purposely poisoned Kenny and accidentally overdosed Anthony — she did finally fess up to some of her biggest secrets and he still accepted her.
The only question is, will he accept her now that she’s been arrested for a murder no one knew she would be accused of? “They genuinely do love each other,” Fisher notes. “In Georgia’s mind, she’s gotten off with PI Cordova, and ends up getting arrested for something that no one saw coming.
What did Georgia’s stepdad do to her?
In Episode 7, ‘Happy Sweet Sixteen, Jerk,’ Georgia painfully tells her daughter that she was abused by her stepfather her entire childhood. ‘He molested me most nights with my mom asleep in the next room,’ she says.
Why did Georgia kill her husband Season 1?
What happened to Kenny Drexel? – Kenny Drexel is a minor character in the first season, as Georgia’s ex-husband. It is his death that kicks off the season as Georgia inherits his money and leaves to start a new life with her children. It is revealed in the first season that Georgia murdered Kenny after she saw him behaving inappropriately with Ginny.
- A flashback showed Ginny and Georgia exercising and when Georgia left the room, Kenny took the opportunity to grope Ginny under the guise of helping her adjust her position.
- Georgia then decides to poison her husband’s smoothie with wolfsbane and he later has a heart attack and dies in a car accident.
A private investigator looks into this possible murder and investigates Georgia after Kenny’s coffin is exhumed and his grave is found empty. In the final episode of the season, Georgia hints that she placed Kenny’s ashes in fireworks and evidence has now been scattered and lost forever. (Image credit: Netflix)
