Did Tony and Katya do the dance off?
Strictly Come Dancing fans think they have figured out why Tony Adams landed in his first dance-off before having to make the shock decision to withdraw from the competition. The former footballer made it to week eight in the BBC One dance contest alongside professional partner Katya Jones before facing the bottom two for the first time.
- But rather than fight for his survival in the hit dance competition in a bid to secure a place in week nine which will see the cast and crew head to Blackpool for the first time in three years, Tony was forced to withdraw from Strictly with an injury.
- This meant that opponents Tyler West and Dianne Buswell were automatically saved from the dance-off.

What happens – You can watch the scene with or without commentary if you’re on an app. Disney After Tony snaps his fingers while wearing the Iron Gauntlet, he’s transported to a mysterious place. As he tries to gather what’s going on, he hears a voice call out to him. Fans had been guessing about Katherine Langford’s role for months. Why did Peter reject Tony?
Despite vying to become an Avenger throughout all of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker turned down Iron Man’s offer in the end – why? Once he scratched the itch of being a full-fledged superhero, all Spider-Man ever wanted was to become an Avenger, but he strangely turned down Iron Man’s offer in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Needless to say, the excitement was high among Spider-Man and Marvel fans when Sony agreed to allow the web-slinging superhero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
That meant for the first time in the character’s history in live-action he could interact with other big-name Marvel heroes and even potentially join the Avengers at some point. Two years after his MCU introduction in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man was knighted as an Avenger by Iron Man in Avengers: Infinity War,
They were on their way to Titan with Doctor Strange when Tony Stark officially made Spider-Man a member of the team and the look on Peter Parker’s face when it happened was a combination of honor and shock. To him, it was unexpected but also something he longed for.
- But the thing is, Spider-Man could’ve already been an Avenger before the Black Order came to Earth.
- Happy Hogan brought Peter to the Avengers Compound at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Tony offered him membership on the team.
- It took Peter a moment to take it all in, but he ultimately rejected the proposal because he wanted to remain grounded and simply be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
He wanted to help someone find their lost bicycle and give an elderly woman directions. Fighting alongside the Avengers would be exhilarating, but Spider-Man didn’t want to accept the cost of taking on major villains and forgoing his private life – not yet. Spider-Man’s decision was ultimately the right choice for him and his story arc, and it was the completion of the first chapter of his journey that began in Civil War, When he got that taste of a bigger life as a superhero, he truly wanted it and vied for it every day by calling Happy, trying to impress him and Iron Man.
- However, defeating Vulture gave Spider-Man a new perspective on life, one that didn’t yet jive with what Tony Stark wanted for him.
- But when Earth was attacked, he realized it was his duty to intervene.
- That’s why he fully accepts being an Avenger in Infinity War, even going so far as to tell Star-Lord that on Titan.
Interestingly, there was another layer to Spider-Man turning down Iron Man’s offer – after all, it wouldn’t be a superhero movie if a scene or decision wasn’t also a reference to the comics. Before Peter leaves, he turns back around and asks Tony, ” That was a test, right? ” Not wanting to feel embarrassed, Tony says that is was, even though it really wasn’t.
Why didn t they snap Tony back?
Marvel’s What If.? included an evil Doctor Strange and finally explained why Tony Stark can never be revived in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Warning: This article contains spoilers for What If.? episode 4. Marvel’s What If.? finally explained a Marvel Cinematic Universe mystery, revealing why Tony Stark can never return. What If.? episode 4 put Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Dr.
Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) through repeated traumas. In the episode, Marvel explores what would happen if Doctor Strange never lost his hands. Instead, he loses Christine in his tragic car crash. Not being able to accept her death, Strange seeks out the mystic arts and eventually tries to bring Christine back.
However, reversing Christine’s death could result in the collapse of the universe. The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) can’t stop Doctor Strange, so she splits him into two, allowing two of Strange’s timelines to occur in the same universe. Unfortunately, the evil Doctor Strange wins out, and he ends up destroying everything.
- In Avengers: Endgame, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) takes his final bow.
- Doctor Strange previously explained in Avengers: Infinity War that there was only one way to defeat Thanos (Josh Brolin),
- In Endgame, Stark realizes that one way will result in his death.
- He successfully steals the Infinity Stones from Thanos and defiantly snaps his fingers, saying, ” I am Iron Man,” Thanos and his armies eventually disappear, and the power of the Infinity Stones costs Iron Man his life.
The moment serves as a fitting farewell to the MCU character that started it all. In What If.?, Marvel finally explains why Iron Man can’t come back. In episode 4, Strange repeatedly tries to go back in time to save Christine Palmer. However, no matter what he does, she repeatedly dies over and over again.
According to Tilda Swinton’s Ancient One, Christine’s death was an absolute fixed point in time. Strange wouldn’t have sought out the mystic arts if not for her death, so it must always happen in their timeline. Reversing an absolute point results in a temporal paradox that can destroy the universe. When an evil version of Strange finally gets enough power to change Palmer’s death, the Ancient One’s warning comes true, and reality is destroyed.
Similarly, Stark’s MCU death uses the same reasoning. Because of absolute points, certain events like Iron Man’s death need to happen. In Infinity War, Strange makes it clear that there is only one way to defeat Thanos. If Iron Man doesn’t sacrifice his life, it could spell the end of the universe as the Avengers know it.
- Black Widow’s (Scarlett Johansson) death was also likely a fixed point.
- After all, Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) tried to reverse it when using the Infinity Stones, but he couldn’t do it.
- It had to happen.
- Because Iron Man’s death is an absolute point in the MCU, Tony Stark can never be brought back without cataclysmic consequences.
Of course, the Multiverse does allow some loopholes. For example, while Marvel can’t bring back the version of Tony Stark who sacrificed his life, there’s no rule that another version of Tony can’t make an appearance. Furthermore, because of the multiple timelines in the Multiverse, several other Tony Starks are secretly showboating around other universes.

Your finalists, in no particular order, are: Molly and Carlos Fleur and Vito Helen and Gorka Hamza and Jowita Complaints to the BBC This week’s spoiler has come from my own source and is almost certainly accurate Did the right couple leave? You can let me know your thoughts about that or anything else to do with tonight’s show right here in the comments section or over on Facebook, Twitter or new for 2022 Instagram,
Each time you get involved with the discussion over on the social networks you earn an entry into the competition to win a £20 Amazon UK voucher. - Strictly moved to a Friday night slot because The BBC had no other way of avoiding a clash with the World Cup despite having multiple channels and a streaming service.
But I digress! The spoilers keep pouring whenever the show goes out and I can reveal that. Molly and Kym had to dance off. The judges saved Molly (Craig, Motsi and Shirley saved Molly. Anton saved Kym). Kym was eliminated! Complaints to the BBC This week’s spoiler has come from an audience mole sourced by myself and should be accurate Did the right couple leave? - The remaining 6 couples are all focused on joining Kym and Graziano in musicals week for next week’s quarter final.
- But who is leaving before we hit the serious point of the competition.
- No need to wait when the Strictly Spoiler is on hand to tell you the results.
- So here are the results Ellie T and Fleur had to dance off.
The judges unanimously saved Fleur. Ellie T was eliminated Complaints to the BBC This week’s spoiler has come from an audience mole through my usual sources plus my own mole and should be accurate! Just as a reminder there is some disruption for the quarter final week and semi final week because of the World Cup because The BBC don’t have multiple linear TV channels or a streaming service they could use to get around these issues but I digress! This week’s competition password is “Lindyhop”.
