After news broke that Olivia Attwood had been forced to leave the jungle, fans have been asking who might replace the 2017 Love Island contestant on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity. Get Me Out of Here! Attwood’s family revealed that the star is ‘heartbroken’ by the exit.
- Just 24 hours after the experience began, it was reported that Olivia had been forced to withdraw from the show on medical grounds.
- One Monday, November 7, a spokesperson said: “As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo medical checks”.
- Adding: “Unfortunately, the medical team has advised that it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation.
She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show,” Show presenters Ant and Dec confirmed the situation on the show that evening. READ MORE: I’m A Celeb fans ‘fuming’ as Olivia Attwood forced to leave full ITV statement A statement posted on the 31-year-old’s Instagram later explained that fans will ‘hear the truth in due course’ about her shock exit.
It read: “To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement, she dreamed of doing I’m A Celeb for years, and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would). “However, for reasons beyond her control her journey has been cut short.
Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has. Olivia Attwood during the trial (Image: ITV) The statement added: “You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will back on your screens in the new year.” And it signed off by joking: “Ps who’s going to roast Matt Hancock now?” At the start of Monday night’s episode hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly addressed Olivia’s departure, saying she would still feature in tonight’s show.
We’re very sad to see her go and we wish her well,” said Ant. While there has been speculation that the former health secretary, Matt Hancock, along with comedian Seann Walsh could make an early appearance on the show due to the Love Islander’s exit, according to Manchester Evening News, Olivia won’t be replaced.
Andrew Pierce, on Good Morning Britain today, Tuesday, November 8, said he’d been told that Hancock would be on the show until Wednesday. News broke last week that Matt was joining the jungle and the West Suffolk MP, who has been suspended by the Tory party in the wake of his controversial signing being revealed, said he was taking part so he can “go to where the people are — not to sit in ivory towers in Westminster.” Matt confirmed his own signing for the show as he was snapped arriving into Brisbane Airport as well as writing an article to defend his decision to say yes to appearing on the popular programme,
- During Sunday night’s launch show the issue was addressed by Ant and Dec who joked about the surprise late arrival not exactly being a surprise.
- We’ve also got not one but two late arrivals and fortunately we’ve managed to keep their identities a secret,” quipped Ant.
- Nobody’s got a clue who they are.” And Dec agreed: “Yeah.
You’re going to be so surprised guys.” He then added cheekily: “We’ll be rolling out the welcome Matt for them very soon.” READ NEXT:

Who was first to leave I’m a celebrity 2023?
Which celeb has left the jungle?
- While the African jungle can be tough, it is likely going to be tougher for those who have a make-up rider written into their contract.
- This certainly proved to be the case for, who sent herself home after less than a week in the wilderness.
- Kerri-Anne is the first celeb to leave the show, surprising contestants and fans alike.
- Fondly known as KAK, Kerri-Anne chose to depart after refusing to participate in an eating challenge alongside, and Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson.
- KAK’s reluctance to participate drew the ire of her teammate Dom, who said she’d “never met anyone so selfish in all my life”.
- “If you don’t even try and (eat this), I tell you what, we’re gonna be like ‘we’ll evict Kerri-Anne,’ legit,” Dom told KAK.
“Trust me, I’ll evict myself. Don’t you tell me what I need to do,” Kerri-Anne returned. And that is precisely what happened!
- Kerri-Anne is the first contestant out of the jungle, opting to evict herself and head on home after only four days.

- After failing to participate in any of the trials for which she was nominated, Kerri-Anne and Domenica came to blows over a shared eating challenge.
- “I don’t see any point in eating a ball that could never have a result,” Kerrie-Anne told her fellow celebs back at camp.
“The abuse was quite overwhelming. To be called ‘the most self-centred bitch she’s ever met’ and ‘the contract queen’ time and time again. I would have finished if she would have finished, and it was never going to happen.
- “That said, I’ve made a choice, and it was a hard choice because I would love to stay, but it’s never going to work.”
- Kerri-Anne also added that she thought it was unfair that she’d been nominated for three trials in a row.
- KAK’s chosen charity was Spinal Cure Australia, chosen for its connection to her who suffered a spinal injury.

During her time on the show, Cleaver told the extraordinary story of how she came to be The 59-year-old said that on her first day of production at a play in Manchester, she was approached by a fellow actor who said: “Oh my god, she’s the absolute double of my wife when I met her.” The man then asked for her date of birth.

Why isn t Olivia Attwood in I’m a Celeb?
Why did Olivia Attwood leave I’m A Celebrity? – A spokesperson initially said that she had to leave due to medical reasons: “As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo medical checks. “Unfortunately, the medical team has advised that it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation.
She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show.” However, a statement posted on Olivia’s Instagram account left fans with more questions after the person who penned the message said the reality star was ‘heartbroken’ about having to leave, adding: “You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course” around her reasons for exiting the show.
An insider has now told this tabloid that she couldn’t return to camp due to the ‘strict’ Covid rules. A statement shared explained that Olivia will share her reasons ‘in due course’. Picture: Olivia Attwood/Instagram Olivia Attwood is said to have broken the Covid bubble in camp. Picture: ITV After having gone through her medical checks, Olivia couldn’t return as she broke the Covid bubble, and bosses were allegedly worried she could infect other contestants. The 31-year-old would’ve had to endure another week’s isolation, which was deemed an “impossible situation”. A TV insider said: “It was felt this would be too much time to spend away from the competition and potentially place her campmates at a disadvantage to her. Obviously viewers at home couldn’t include her in any votes, including selecting them for different challenges during the series. “Olivia would have been going back in almost halfway through the series, which simply wasn’t fair. As frustrating and upsetting as that was for Olivia, who was willing to do whatever it took to go back, she could also see it was an impossible situation.” However, ITV and Olivia herself are yet to confirm this. > Here Are All The Ways You Can Listen To Capital
Why is Olivia not in I’m a Celebrity 22?
Who’s left I’m A Celebrity 2022? – Olivia Attwood has pulled out of I’m A Celebrity 2022 after she was involved in a ‘medical emergency’. A spokesperson for I’m A Celebrity confirmed the news in a statement which read: “As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks. I’m A Celebrity’s Olivia Attwood in her camp outfit before entering the jungle. Picture: ITV It’s thought Olivia is now on her way back to the UK to be with her fiancé Bradley Dack. The 31-year-old made history after becoming the first person from Love Island to go in the jungle.
Is Olivia from I’m a Celeb pregnant?
Olivia Attwood denies she’s pregnant as she talks quitting I’m a Celeb Attwood, 31, made show history after becoming the first former Love Island star to take part in I’m a Celeb, which returned to the Australian jungle for the first time in two years following the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Her time in the celebrity camp was sadly cut short however on medical grounds which were not disclosed by show bosses.
- Appearing on ITV’s, Attwood opened up to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about what really went down during her short-lived stint.
- “There’s loads swirling around the internet and I think ‘Olivia Attwood pregnant’ was trending on Twitter — and it’s not that, I can assure you — and it’s not that exciting when it boils down to it,” she explained.
Olivia Attwood said she wanted to clear up rumours on why she left the jungle / ITV “I was pulled out on my first day in main camp for routine medical checks — which can be blood pressure, giving blood — so I had my blood taken and the results came back that my iron was low, I was showing that I was anaemic.
- Potassium was really low, sodium was really low, so basically all the markers you would look for were low, so they consulted with a doctor outside of camp and they said I would need to come to A&E basically off the back of those readings.
- So I was taken to the nearest A&E department, admitted in there where they ran their own checks and their checks came back normal, so” She added: “Just before leaving the UK I’d had all those checks and everything was normal and the first thing I said to the camp doctor was ‘is that possible for things to change in such a short time?’ and he didn’t really have an answer, but that it was not normal and why we need to see what’s going on.” Willoughby said: “Well you do have to be safe in those situations.
If you see results like that and you don’t do something and God forbid something happened, so wouldn’t want it to be that way round either, but during the journey to hospital you must’ve been panicking that something was really wrong?” Attwoood reponded: “Yeah, was quite long because everything’s so far away in Australia and I was thinking ‘oh am I pregnant?’ or ‘have I picked up a virus?’ and wondering how things have changed so much, and also I felt well.
- I didn’t feel ill.
- I saw things online saying, ‘I bet she fainted’ but there was nothing “I was loving it as you can see, I was really in my element and I felt healthy so I was even more confused.
- It was all really strange.” Olivia Attwood told This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that she was gutted her time was cut short / ITV On realising that she couldn’t return to camp afterwards, Attwood said: “I was like ‘shall we go back?’ and I knew there would be Covid tests and things like that but there was a pause in proceedings there, and it was late at night and taking me back into camp doesn’t work logistically.
“So I went to a hotel and basically, as I now know, the conversations went on all through the night with production obviously desperate to have me back in, but the medical team I think it’s an insurance thing. Because they had those readings, they had to seek other party opinions and it’s a collective decision.
- “I think they thought the readings might drop that low again and they wouldn’t be covered because it’s already been flagged up.”
- Willoughby replied: “You can understand it but it is so frustrating, especially for someone like you who’s grown up watching this show and is a big fan of the show and to be teased by being there and around the fire”
- Attwood agreed: “I’ve been a big fan of the show all my life, and those conversations about joining the jungle happened when I left Love Island the first year, so it’s been like five years in the making and it was the first time they’ve put someone from the show on there”
When asked by Schofield if she felt she’d had something to prove by going into the jungle, Attwood said: “Massively. I think when you come off reality shows you get a huge opportunity, and I’ve done amazing things, but also I think you can be put in a box and I was looking forward to showing a different side to myself.
- I am not a quitter, I am not scared of much, and I was just loving it.
- I was looking forward to having that exposure to a new audience.” Olivia Attwood revealed who of her former campmates she is now backing / ITV When asked how she might have been with former health secretary Matt Hancock, she said: “I think it’s a difficult one.
When you’re living in those environments you have to take things carefully. But I probably would’ve done it with humour and given him a bit of stick that he deserves.” Of potentially doing another year, Attwood said: “It might be more of a logistical thing to make it work.
- I would love to, because yeah, it was cut short.
- Thank God, I’m grateful that I’m healthy, but it makes it harder to accept.
- But it is what it is, there are worse things happening in the world.” Drawn on who she thinks might be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle this series, Attwood said she was backing either Jill Scott or Charlene White.
“I think Jill has a good chance and Charlene. I have FOMO watching!” she added. To see the full interview visit : Olivia Attwood denies she’s pregnant as she talks quitting I’m a Celeb

- “It wasn’t easy at all but after a while you kind of just float into it.”

“By the way, he’s just a person. In here he’s just a person, he mucked in, he was really really doing a lot to help everyone, so I can’t judge him on that.” Elsewhere in the episode, Hancock, 44, spoke about his childhood during a conversation with some of his campmates.
During a discussion about generational differences, the MP for West Suffolk spoke about difficulties faced by his family after his parents’ business ran into financial problems when he was a teenager. “When the wolf is at the door, I know how that feels!” — I’m A Celebrity. (@imacelebrity) He was asked by comedian Seann Walsh: “Did you have the bailiffs round yours Matt?” Hancock replied: “When the business nearly went bust we nearly lost everything.
“You know when you type your postcode into the internet and it brings up your address? My stepdad wrote that software. The business started in 88 and in the early 90s is when it nearly went bust. - He added: “Or my mum used to say, ‘You never say you love me’ and he’d say, ‘I’m here aren’t I?'”
- Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Boy George continued: “I think that comment was about, ‘Don’t blow smoke up his arse because it’s not good for him’.”
- Aleshe said: “This generation, all we do is tell our children that we love them.”
😭😭😭 — I’m A Celebrity. (@imacelebrity) He added: “I smother my son. We’re soft but that’s a good thing.” Lioness Jill Scott said: “It’s so different There was a generation of ‘don’t show any weakness’.” Boy George continued: “My dad was a builder, owned his own firm. He was a gambler. He would take £10,000 and put it on a dog.”
- He added: “Dad would say, ‘Don’t answer the door, the bailiffs, or the gas man was coming’.”
- Elsewhere in Tuesday’s episode, the celebrities were also treated to an evening at the Jungle Arms – a pub in the jungle where they were served alcoholic drinks and bar snacks while they gave karaoke their best shot.
- Hancock offered a rendition of I Want To Break Free by Queen, much to the delight of his campmates and Boy George got the celebrities dancing with a performance of his band’s 1983 hit Karma Chameleon.

Who left jungle 2023?
Domenica Calarco In a major twist, frontrunner Domenica was booted from the jungle in a move that left viewers and her fellow campmates gobsmacked! Despite leaving the jungle ”disappointed”, Dom said she had the ”best time ever” in camp.
Who was the 6th person to leave I’m a celebrity?
Sixth contestant eliminated from I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! Cast of I’m A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here! 25/11/2022 | 08:17 AM By Naomi Clarke, PA Entertainment Reporter
- Chris Moyles said he was “gutted” that Matt Hancock is more popular than him as he became the sixth contestant to be eliminated from I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!
- The radio DJ (48) was announced as the celebrity with the fewest public votes during Thursday’s show by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
- During his 20 days in the Australian jungle, Moyles had moments of highs and lows and struggled throughout the series when faced with Bushtucker trials.
- After his exit, he told McPartlin and Donnelly: “I’m gutted that Matt Hancock is more popular than me, what the bejesus is going on?”
He dived quite literally into Camp life, but now it’s time for the voice of breakfast radio to sign off from his Jungle family! 🎤 is the sixth Celeb to leave this year! — I’m A Celebrity. (@imacelebrity)
- Moyles admitted it was difficult for him living alongside the former UK health secretary in camp, saying: “I really struggled with it, to be fair.
- “And then what I did was, because I slagged him a bit, I separated Matt Hancock with Matt because we were living with this guy, and he was doing his best to win us stars for food and everything and chipping in so I had to separate the two.
- “Matt Hancock I’ve got major issues with but Matt – less issues.”
- The radio DJ entered the jungle alongside reality star Olivia Attwood by jumping out of a chopper which he said was a real achievement for him as he does not like heights or helicopters.
- One of his next challenges tested him further as he had to crawl into an enclosed space which he said he did not previously have a fear of but the trial made him develop one.
- He joked: “I’m the only person who’s done the show and leaves with more fear than when I came in.”
- During his time in the jungle, Moyles had a number of low-scoring performances in the trials and earlier in the episode, he only managed to secure one star out of a possible six alongside campmate Owen Warner.
- Asked why he found it so difficult, Moyles said: “I’m scared of everything and I know this now.
“I’m an anxious, scared man that’s only comfortable in a radio studio. So I wasn’t cut out for the majority of this life.” And the award for the most awkward moment of the series goes to: 😭 — I’m A Celebrity. (@imacelebrity) Elsewhere in the episode, Moyles had questioned Hancock about the inner workings of Westminster and how an MP can move between cabinet offices without prior experience in the area.
Hancock, who is currently the MP for West Suffolk and has faced criticism from across the political divide for joining the reality show at a time when Parliament is sitting, opened up about how the process of a cabinet reshuffle works. He said: “I’ll tell you exactly what happens. It’s reshuffle day and the first thing the Prime Minister does is call the people who he or she is going to fire and invites them into the office in the House of Commons.
“That way the cameras can’t see them coming and going. Face-to-face. These are very sensitive conversations. Then they go into Downing Street and they call people in in order of seniority. They have a whiteboard with all of the cabinet positions on it and they go from senior down.
“Sometimes people say, ‘No, I don’t want to be Defence Secretary, I’d take Transport’ and it is literally a reshuffle as in they’re moving names across this whiteboard.” Moyles questioned how an MP can take up a role if they do not have knowledge of that area to which Hancock replied: “The job of the minister is not to be the subject matter expert.
Of course, you need to get to grips with the subject matter, but that is only half the job.
- “There’s a load of transferable skills: handling Parliament, communicating with the public, taking decisions effectively, and then you have the subject matter experts who advise you on it all.”
- Fellow campmate Seann Walsh then asked Hancock if he had any questions for Moyles and Hancock responded with silence and did not offer up any further questions of his own.
- Later in the Bush Telegraph, Hancock said he had the found the conversation “really enjoyable” while Moyles appeared to become more sceptical of the reshuffle process.
Moyles said: “I’m starting to think now, to be Minister of Transport, all you need is a car. And to be Minister of Health all you need is to be breathing.” The radio presenter added: “Fascinating talking to him, however, he has no interest in me, my life, my job. He’s a funny little fish, isn’t he?” The relief when he gets that fifth star in 🥹⭐️ — I’m A Celebrity. (@imacelebrity)
- The episode also saw Moyles put himself forward for The Savage Sorting Office Busktucker Trial, wanting to improve his record.
- The pair were tasked with sorting through mail to find the coveted golden stars but Warner found himself suspended from a crane in a harness while Moyles had to operate the crane blindfolded and received electric shocks every 30 seconds.
- Warner had to search through mud crabs, eels, snakes and rats to find the stars but he kept missing throwing them into a postbox, which was how they would secure a point.
They returned to camp having only won one star out of a possible six with Warner taking full blame for their poor result, later saying in the Bush Telegraph: “I can’t help but beat myself up a lot. I’m so hungry and I wanted to bring back good news and I can’t.” Raspberry Syrup < Red Goo — I'm A Celebrity. (@imacelebrity)
- However, Matt Hancock, Mike Tindall and Seann Walsh had more success when they were given a night-time challenge with the chance of winning a fry-up for camp the next morning.
- The trio had to work together to assemble various food items including piping “Happy Birthday Kev” on a cake and making up hot dogs with items which were separated from them via a screen.
- The team managed to pass quality control and return home triumphant having won breakfast for camp.

Most read in I’m A Celebrity – In an interview with the MailOnline, she explained that a routine blood test taken by the show’s medical staff revealed that she was “dangerously anaemic” – which is a fact that she said shocked her considering she was “feeling fine” despite being rushed to hospital,
- Olivia also described the whole ordeal as “scary”.
- I was like: ‘What the hell is wrong with me?’ They couldn’t give me an answer, they just told me that they had to get me to the hospital immediately,” she revealed.
- The results were really, really low when they put them into their reader, and they consulted with another doctor off site.
I had those bloods done in England before I left, and they were fine, so I was confused and of course very, very worried.” As well as anaemia, the medical tests also showed that Olivia had low levels of both sodium and potassium, so ITV staff decided to take the safe option and not allow her back into the jungle – which she said left her “absolutely devastated” and was like “a punch in the gut”.

Why was Olivia removed from the jungle?
Why did Olivia Attwood leave I’m a Celebrity? – Attwood explained that doctors became concerned after she underwent a routine blood test, and was found to be anaemic, and have low potassium and sodium levels. This is despite having normal results before leaving the UK.
After discovering the results, Attwood was taken to A&E, and eventually forced to leave the show. She told the Mail on Sunday : “They said because of the results the show’s medical team got from my readings, they were not happy to sign me off to come back in, even though I had the clean bill of health from the hospital.
“If I went back into camp, they feared my levels might drop and it could be detrimental to my health and wellbeing. They were not willing to authorise my return and therefore I wasn’t insured.” She added: “I was so scared, I was like, ‘What the hell is wrong with me?’ They couldn’t give me an answer, they just told me that they had to get me to the hospital immediately.

Get Me Out Of Here! star Olivia Attwood was reportedly forced to drop out of the show due to ‘strict rules’. The former Love Island star wished to return to the jungle following a medical issue but wasn’t allowed.
With strict Covid rules, ITV bosses are said to have feared she could infect the other campmates. A source claimed: “She could see it was an impossible situation.” It was reported that she would have to go through a week of isolation in order to return to the campsite, which would be ‘impossible’. ITV have declined to comment on the reason behind her exit.

They also said: “Olivia would have been going back in almost halfway through the series, which simply wasn’t fair.” But a friend close to Olivia insisted her exit had nothing to do with Covid rules as they said: “The show is very covid safe but the so-called bubble is not the same as it was in Wales.
- Mike Tindall was seen trying to throw a production member into the sea on the first day.
- He hugged her and was in complete contact with her and nothing was said.
- Other celebs are also coming into close contact with camera crew and production who come and go from site every day and are out at night as normal.
It is very different to Wales when Richard Madeley wasn’t allowed back for breaking the bubble.” It was recently reported that concerns were raised by a member of the crew following a standard test that the celebs do behind the scenes during the series.
And after further checks were made away from the jungle it was ITV’s decision to remove Olivia from the show. “Olivia wasn’t feeling ill, unwell, she was perfectly fine. There was just something that came up which concerned the show’s medical team and it escalated from there.
